Leominster Food Share

We are pleased to support Leominster Food Bank with volunteers and donations, and we also have a Food Share, collecting food from supermarkets in town that would otherwise go to waste and being able to share it with people in the community to reduce food waste and help people make ends meet. You can find out more about the Food Bank and how to support it on their facebook page here, and their website here . You can find out more about the Food Share here

Primary Schools

There are a number of Primary Schools within the Leominster Team Ministry and members of our church are involved in all sorts of ways.

We have an Open the Book team which goes into Ivington Primary School to bring Bible stories to life for children (and adults!)

We also regularly welcome school visits into the Priory and run workshops for schools.

For more information, please contact the office (email address at the bottom of this website).

The Forbury

The Forbury Chapel in Church Street is a wonderful listed building which is used as our “church hall” and as a base for the Leominster Team Ministry.

The main hall is available for hire, as are meeting rooms and an office, at reasonable rates. Please visit the website for more details (www.theforburychapel.com).

The manager/caretaker, Anthony Hurdidge, can be contacted directly at: forburychapel@gmail.com

Shoebox Appeal

The annual Shoebox Appeal collects items and packs shoe boxes for Teams4You who send them to children in Eastern Europe. A small team of volunteers covers the empty boxes with brightly coloured paper, and the Priory family generously donates money and gifts to fill them.

Refugees

Leominster Priory took a lead in collecting clothes and other items and taking them to Northern France between 2017-2020 to support refugees and migrants from across Africa and the Middle East. We now collect donations of clothing and cash in conjunction with the Mothers Union to support asylum seekers housed in the county whilst waiting for a decision on their asylum claim. We are an Inclusive Church extending a welcome and love to all.
