TEAM COFFEE MORNINGS
Every Friday at the Forbury Chapel, 10.00am—/2noon.
Please come along, meet old friends, make new friends, help raise funds for our
churches and local charities. Only £l.70 for a tea or coffee! This Friday, 14th
August, is Humber, please come along to support them. If you can make a cake or
help serve coffee please let Barbara know.
Please contact the team receptionist, on 01568612124, Monday to Friday 9.30am
-1.00pm if you would like to host a coffee morning. There are some dates
available.
LONE WORKING
It takes an army of people working together to keep the church functioning and
looking lovely. PCC appreciate all of you who contribute to that. But we have a
responsibility to keep you safe, so have recently agreed a Lone Working Policy.
We have a list of people who we think sometime work alone in the Priory and
hopefully Ceri has contacted you all. There are bound to be some we missed, so
please speak to Ceri Hibbert (ceri.hibbert@icloud.com) if you haven't been
contacted.
THE YOUTH HUB
The Youth Hub are delivering weekly lunch clubs in September for Year 7s
starting high school. They are asking for any old CD/DVDs and any wool that you
have available. Please bring to the Forbury. Thank you for your donations.
THANK YOU FROM THE HOLIDAY CLUB TEAM
Two weeks ago we had an incredible week of fun with 94 children at this year's
Holiday Club. In addition to seeing dramatised Bible stories and doing various
crafts related to those stories, the children enjoyed visits from Longtown
Mountain Rescue our Community Police Officers, tried their hand at bell ringing
and Morris dancing visited the Library and held some rather exotic animals and
met a walking and roaring dinosaur. It was a fantastic week but none of this
could happen without any army of wonderful volunteers - from people not only
working with the children, but also in the kitchen and stewarding. So, a huge
thank you to everyone who helped... including those who helped us put the
church back together again on Friday afternoon.
STEWARDING
Could you give an afternoon to steward the Priory over the summer? We're
hoping to have 2 people in the Priory to welcome visitors from 2-Apm every day
from Saturday 25th July through to Sunday 30th August. A sign up list is at

VACANCY:
Leominster Branch of Mothers' Union require a new branch leader. This role
involves chairing the (very supportive) committee which meets twice a year to
plan activities and ensure compliance with financial and safeguarding
regulations. As branch leader you will also host meetings and coordinate
advertising. There is an element of pastoral care towards members and the wider
community. The branch leader is also a link between the local branch and the
Diocesan Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary role and takes up approximately
one day per month. Please see Linda McKinley for more information.
PRIORY CHURCH “100 CLUB" JULY 2026 DRAW
We are pleased to report that we made the July draw on 12th July and the
winning participants were: -

I am sure you would like to join us in congratulating the winners, and our sincere
thanks to all of you for your on-going support. I am very pleased to confirm that
Rachel has donated her prize back to the Priory-many thanks Rachel. We will get
the prizes to the winners as soon as we can.

LOST PROPERTY
There are a few items of lost property from the Priory held at the Forbury chapel.
There is an envelope/card for Mr A T Harris, a small green, decorated purse and
various other bit and pieces. If these are not claimed by the end of August they
will be repurposed.
CHURCHWARDENS’ VISITATION
Barbara and Clare attended their visitation service last month to be sworn in as
churchwardens for another year. We were invited to join in the following prayer,
along with the other churchwardens attending; praying for our congregations.

you have called us to be members of Christ and of his Church in this Diocese.
May we and our congregations
reach up to your throne in adoration and worship; in to one another in love and
fellowship; and out to the world in evangelism and care; through Jesus Christ our
