Pioneer Update

.

After 22 years at Leominster Priory which include 14 years of leading Messy Church, 9 years of paid employment as Intergenerational Pioneers and 7 years of Licenced Lay Ministry; David and Kathy Bland will be stepping down from their licenced and employed roles at Leominster Priory at the end of March. Their final service at The Priory will be on March 29th (Palm Sunday) and they hope to be welcomed as members of Leominster Methodist Church on Easter Sunday.

“Serving God through our various roles at Leominster Priory has been a wonderful privilege. It has included many years of working with local schools, offering Experience Easter, school visits, workshops, helping lead the early years of holiday club, setting up and leading Messy Church, developing youth and community work at Barons Cross, offering services for schools and nurseries, procurement and care for the sound system and keeping our town in touch with Priory events through the website and social media pages.

Along the way we have pioneered different services to help people connect with God including 9.30 am Morning Prayer, Church around the Fire and Family Services as well as actively finding ways to connect church and community through Leominster Food bank and support for asylum seekers and refugees. We will miss our friends at The Priory but hope to keep in touch through Churches Together and other interdenominational working. We would very much value your prayers as we step out into a new season of following God’s call in Leominster.”

David and Kathy will continue to work in and around The Priory in partnership with Youth Hubs through Crate Stuff CIC and the Diocese of Hereford.
