In Church
Christians have been worshipping on this site since about 660 AD, and as far as we know, there have only been two major interruptions in the intervening 1360 years: for the Civil War, and for COVID-19. Some of what we do has stayed consistent over that time, but many things (like speaking in English, not Latin!) have changed, particularly in things like Messy Church. Everyone is welcome to any or all of our services or gatherings. Here are our more traditional services in our church buildings - but check out the other tabs for Messy Church, some FAQs and some resources for joining in from home or praying on your own. Sunday10 am Eucharist 8am Communion from the Book of Common Prayer (the traditional Anglican prayer book from the 17th century) and 4.30 (winter) / 6.30 (summer – i.e. when the clocks change) a quiet evening prayer service. 1st Sunday of the month is Choral Evensong led by our Priory Choir and the 4th Sunday is led by the Priory Ministry Team and often explores more varied ways to pray together. On other Sundays, the evening service is Said Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer.
